Correction of a X/Y-offset misalignment
A X/Y-offset misalignment is present, if the sampling probe does not go exactly into the
center of each position of the sample tray.
Note A tolerance of ± 1 mm is allowed!
The X/Y-offset misalignment will be corrected by entering offset steps for the X- and
Y-drive. These offset steps are used for all movements as soon as they are stored in the
non-volatile RAM area .
The offset steps can be entered by using the utility Terminal.exe with the associated file
Adj93.trm .
1. Measure the precision of positioning as described in chapter
Alignment using TERMINAL.EXE and ADJ93.TRM on page 52 by
using the Terminal program, commands level 2, and note the values
into a table. The table below shows an example:
Table 5 Example of X/Y-Offset Misalignment
Location X-Offset [mm] Y-Offset [mm]
0 -1.0 -2.0
5 -1.0 -2.0
146 -1.0 -2.0
157 -1.0 -2.0
