Kinds of positional misalignments
There are 2 kinds of positional misalignment possible:
• Parallel misalignment, if
the positionings, seen in X-axis, of the rear sample locations
(0,14,26,38,50,62,74,86,98,110,122,134,146) are ok,
but the front sample locations
(5,13,25,37,49,61,73,85,97,109,121,133,145,157) are showing an offset.
• Offset misalignment,
if the tip of the sampling probe shows a constant offset in X- or Y-axis in all
sample locations .
Note A parallel misalignment must be corrected before an offset misalignment
can be corrected.
The table 4 on page 55 shows the existence of a parallel misalignment while the X-offset
is just in tolerance.
Correction of a parallel misalignment
A parallel misalignment must be corrected by rotating the tower.
