(١٠٢)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?CHRISTIAN EVIDENCE OF THE TRINITYIt <strong>is</strong> common, when talking about the most imp<strong>or</strong>tant creed inChr<strong>is</strong>tianity, which <strong>is</strong> the Trinity, to find evidence f<strong>or</strong> it in manypassages uttered by the prophets, then Jesus (PBUT) and h<strong>is</strong>d<strong>is</strong>ciples after him.However, looking attentively at the Holy Bible, we cannot find theclear evidence that we are looking f<strong>or</strong>, in the Old <strong>or</strong> the NewTestaments. It <strong>is</strong> inc<strong>or</strong>rect to judge hastily. Let us read what the HolyBible mentions regarding th<strong>is</strong> imp<strong>or</strong>tant belief.First: The T<strong>or</strong>ah Passages and the TrinityChr<strong>is</strong>tians refer to some of the T<strong>or</strong>ah passages and claim that theyare divine signs of the Trinity. One of these passages uses the pluralHebrew w<strong>or</strong>d ‘Eloheem’ when talking about Allah (S.W). “In thebeginning, God created the heavens and the earth.” (Genes<strong>is</strong>1/1). Likew<strong>is</strong>e, it uses what refers to plurality f<strong>or</strong> the deeds that wered<strong>one</strong> by Allah (S.W): “Come, let us go down and there confusetheir language.” (Genes<strong>is</strong> 11/7)There are other passages, which Chr<strong>is</strong>tians refer to as signs of theTrinity in the T<strong>or</strong>ah. The angels’ saying: "Holy, holy, holy <strong>is</strong> theLORD of hosts.” (Isaiah 6/3) mentions the w<strong>or</strong>d (Holy) <strong>three</strong> times.Likew<strong>is</strong>e, the animals, which John saw in h<strong>is</strong> revelation said, "Holy,holy, holy, <strong>is</strong> the L<strong>or</strong>d God Almighty” (Revelation 4/8)A Critique of the Passages of the T<strong>or</strong>ahChr<strong>is</strong>tians admit there <strong>is</strong> nothing in those passages that <strong>is</strong> clearevidence of the Trinity, which the clear monothe<strong>is</strong>tic passages refute.On the other hand, the readers of the Old Testament, starting fromthe early prophets to the children of Israel, did not understand thatthese passages, as Chr<strong>is</strong>tians claim, are indications to the Trinity.Priest Potter admits that, saying, “After God created the w<strong>or</strong>ld, andcompleted it by creating human beings, f<strong>or</strong> some time he did notdeclare anything about Himself except monothe<strong>is</strong>m, as menti<strong>one</strong>d inthe T<strong>or</strong>ah. However, there are still many signs behind th<strong>is</strong>monothe<strong>is</strong>m, because if you read attentively you will find sentences
