(٧٤)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?believe Moses (PBUH). “So Moses stretched out his handtoward heaven, and there was pitch darkness in all the landof Egypt three days. They did not see one another, nor didanyone rise from his place for three days.” (Ex. 10:22-23)Similarly, is what happened when Joshua fought the Amorites, and itwas Saturday night; he prayed to Allah (S.W) and said, “in thesight of Israel, "Sun, stand still at Gibeon, and moon, in theValley of Aijalon. And the sun stood still, and the moonstopped, until the nation took vengeance on their enemies. The sun stopped in the midst of heaven and did not hurry toset for about a whole day.” (Joshua 10:12-13). What happenedon that day does not indicate Joshua’s divinity, even though it isgreater than what happened during the crucifixion. If the sun had setfor three hours, it could be hidden by clouds, and that is normal, butfor the earth to stop rotating, is much more significant.Prophet Isaiah performed greater miracles than both of them did;Allah (S.W) turned the sun backwards for him answering his prayer,to prove to King Hezekiah the truth and the accuracy of Allah’s (S.W)decrees. (See, Kings (2) 20/10-11). This is confirmed by Sirach; “Inhis time the sun went backward.” (Sirach 48/23). In spite of this,no one claims Isaiah’s divinity. If nature obeyed Jesus (PBUH), many other prophets were able tocontrol it as well, as the fire and the sea obeyed Elijah. The Biblesays, "If I am a man of God, let fire come down from heavenand consume you and your fifty." Then fire came downfrom heaven and consumed him and his fifty.” (Kings (2)1:10) “Then Elijah took his cloak and rolled it up and struckthe water, and the water was parted to the one side and tothe other, till the two of them could go over on dry ground.”(Kings (2) 2:8),Jesus (PBUH) fasting for forty days does not prove his divinity, for hefelt hungry eventually. “He was hungry” (Matthew 4:2) If hisfasting and his patience indicate his divinity, then his hunger refutesthat and proves his humanity.I have to remind the reader that Moses and Elijah (PBUT) also fastedfor forty days and forty nights. Moses (PBUH) said, “I remained onthe mountain forty days and forty nights. I neither atebread nor drank water.” (Duet. 9:9), “went in the strength of
