Because I live, you also will live.” (John 14:19) He <strong>is</strong> nottalking about real sight, since he <strong>is</strong> talking about h<strong>is</strong> ascension toheaven and at that time, the w<strong>or</strong>ld and the d<strong>is</strong>ciples will not see him.He <strong>is</strong> talking about the faith and spiritual insight, in which thebelievers and the d<strong>is</strong>ciples will be able to see and feel, but not theothers.What comes in Matthew supp<strong>or</strong>ts th<strong>is</strong>. Matthew said, “And no <strong>one</strong>knows the Son except the Father, and no <strong>one</strong> knows theFather except the Son.” (Matt. 11:27)Another passage, which <strong>is</strong> similar, that comes in the Gospelacc<strong>or</strong>ding to John: “And Jesus cried out and said, "Whoeverbelieves in me, believes not in me but in Him who sent me.And whoever sees me sees Him who sent me. F<strong>or</strong> I have notspoken on my own auth<strong>or</strong>ity, but the Father who sent mehas Himself given me a commandment--what to say andwhat to speak. And I know that H<strong>is</strong> commandment <strong>is</strong>eternal life. What I say, theref<strong>or</strong>e, I say as the Father hastold me." (John 12:44-51) and it meant insight.H<strong>is</strong> saying, “Who has seen me has seen the <strong>one</strong> who has sent me”,does not mean that who has seen the <strong>one</strong> sent – the Son – has seenthe sender – the Father-- unless they both are <strong>one</strong>. Furtherm<strong>or</strong>e, th<strong>is</strong>can be refuted by h<strong>is</strong> saying, “You heard me say to you, 'I amgoing away, and I will come to you.' If you loved me, youwould have rejoiced, because I am going to the Father, f<strong>or</strong>the Father <strong>is</strong> greater than I.” (John 14:28) and “My Father,who has given them to me, <strong>is</strong> greater than all, and no <strong>one</strong> <strong>is</strong>able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.” (John 10:29).No Chr<strong>is</strong>tian would affirm that the Father <strong>is</strong> the Son, but they aredifferent personalities, even though they claim that they – the Sonand the Father- are united.In h<strong>is</strong> book, "Commentaries on John’s Gospel", Priest Matta ElMeskeen said, “Chr<strong>is</strong>tian belief <strong>is</strong> that, the hypostases of God aredifferent.
