(٨)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?CHRISTIAN EVIDENCE FOR CHRIST’S DIVINITYIn spite of their various opinions about Jesus (PBUH), Chr<strong>is</strong>tian sectsbelieve that he <strong>is</strong> God incarnate, 1 supp<strong>or</strong>ting th<strong>is</strong> claim with manypassages from both the Old and the New Testaments, which speakof h<strong>is</strong> Divinity. These passages, calling him L<strong>or</strong>d, God <strong>or</strong> the Son ofGod, convey that Allah (S.W) had incarnated in him, and that he hadcreated some creations. They consider that h<strong>is</strong> f<strong>or</strong>etelling about theunknown and h<strong>is</strong> ra<strong>is</strong>ing of the dead <strong>is</strong> the greatest evidence of h<strong>is</strong>Divinity.An Introduction to the D<strong>is</strong>cussion on Chr<strong>is</strong>tianEvidence f<strong>or</strong> Chr<strong>is</strong>t’s DivinityIt <strong>is</strong> imp<strong>or</strong>tant, bef<strong>or</strong>e we start to d<strong>is</strong>cuss th<strong>is</strong> evidence, to mentionand consider these following few notes:1) There <strong>is</strong> no passage in the entire Bible, Old <strong>or</strong> New Testaments,where Jesus (PBUH) himself declared divinity <strong>or</strong> that he askedpeople to w<strong>or</strong>ship him. Furtherm<strong>or</strong>e, not <strong>one</strong> of h<strong>is</strong> contemp<strong>or</strong>arie<strong>sw</strong><strong>or</strong>shipped him. The Jews considered him as some<strong>one</strong> who claimedprophethood, some believed him, but the maj<strong>or</strong>ity of them rejectedthe entire idea.There <strong>is</strong> no base in the Holy Bible f<strong>or</strong> Jesus’ (PBUH) divinity.Regarding th<strong>is</strong>, Deedat challenged the Swed<strong>is</strong>h archb<strong>is</strong>hop, in theirtelev<strong>is</strong>ed debate saying: “I will put my head in a guillotine if you showme <strong>one</strong> verse where Jesus himself says ‘I am God’ <strong>or</strong> where he says‘W<strong>or</strong>ship me’.”In h<strong>is</strong> book (The Secrets Key), Priest Fender explained why Jesus(PBUH) did not openly declare divinity in the New Testament. Hesaid:“No <strong>one</strong> could understand th<strong>is</strong> relationship and unity bef<strong>or</strong>e h<strong>is</strong>resurrection and ascension. If he did so, they would understand thathe <strong>is</strong> God in a human body… the Jew<strong>is</strong>h high priests wanted to catchhim and st<strong>one</strong> him, the fact <strong>is</strong> that he did not declare h<strong>is</strong> divinityexcept by puzzles and parables.” 21 - Excluding Jehovah witnesses and some of the Monothe<strong>is</strong>tic Churches, f<strong>or</strong>, they rejectthe Divinity of Chr<strong>is</strong>t and Trinity.
