(١١٢)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?A CRITICAL EXAMINATION OF THE TRINITYIf we cannot find any evidence supp<strong>or</strong>ting the Trinity, <strong>is</strong> there anyevidence in the Holy Bible supp<strong>or</strong>ting the contrary, which <strong>is</strong>Monothe<strong>is</strong>m?One who studies the Holy Bible will find that the Trinity <strong>is</strong> a strangeconcept, and that the Holy Bible <strong>is</strong> full of obvious facts declaringmonothe<strong>is</strong>m in Chr<strong>is</strong>tianity. There are many passages in the HolyBible, which clearly declare that Monothe<strong>is</strong>m was the belief of Jesus(PBUH), h<strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>ciples, and all the prophets (PBUT) bef<strong>or</strong>e him.First: Monothe<strong>is</strong>tic Passages in the Old TestamentMonothe<strong>is</strong>m <strong>is</strong> obvious in the Old Testament. Prophets (PBUT)spoke of it and remind us many times about it, and the passagesstrongly reassure th<strong>is</strong> belief. Some of these passages are thefollowing:- What we find in the Book of Deuteronomy about Moses’(PBUH) commandments, which Allah (S.W) wrote on twost<strong>one</strong>s and <strong>or</strong>dered the Children of Israel to keep, and Jesus(PBUH) after him confirmed them. "Hear, O Israel: TheLORD our God, the LORD <strong>is</strong> <strong>one</strong>. You shall love theLORD your God with all your heart and with all yoursoul and with all your might. And these w<strong>or</strong>ds that Icommand you today shall be on your heart. You shallteach them diligently to your children, and shall talkof them when you sit in your house, and when youwalk by the way, and when you lie down, and whenyou r<strong>is</strong>e. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand,and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. Youshall write them on the do<strong>or</strong>posts of your house andon your gates.” (Deut. 6:4-9)- "I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of theland of Egypt, out of the house of slavery. You shallhave no other gods bef<strong>or</strong>e me.” (Deut. 5:6-7)- Allah’s (S.W) commandment to Moses (PBUH) and to theChildren of Israel, "I am the LORD your God, whobrought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the houseof slavery.
