(١١٩)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?there is one mediator between God and men, the manChrist Jesus.” (Ti.1 2:5)Confessing the Oneness of Allah (S.W), Paul said, “to keep thecommandment unstained and free from reproach until theappearing of our Lord Jesus Christ. which he will display atthe proper time--he who is the blessed and only Sovereign, the King of kings and Lord of lords. who alone hasimmortality.” (Ti.1 6:14 - 16). Thus, Jesus is lord, but only Allah(S.W) is the Lord of lords. These passages and many more talkabout Jesus (PBUH) as being human, yet different from others; for,Allah (S.W) loves him and chose him to deliver His message.Other passages are full of Jesus’ (PBUH) exaggeration, making him– almost - a real son of Allah (S.W), which may indicate that there isa difference between Jesus’ son-ship and other son-ships in the HolyBible. This is clear in some other passages, which consider Jesus(PBUH) as God’s image or God incarnate. He said, “By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinfulflesh” (Rom. 8:3)“He who did not spare his own Son but gave him up” (Rom.8:32)He added, “God sent forth his Son, born of woman” (Gal. 4:4)which indicates a real son-ship of Jesus (PBUH), for, all believers aresons of God – metaphorically – and are born of women.“He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of allcreation.” (Col. 1:15)“Who, though he was in the form of God, did not countequality with God a thing to be grasped. But made himselfnothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in thelikeness of men.” (Phil. 2:6-7)“Great indeed, we confess, is the mystery of godliness: Hewas manifested in the flesh” (Tim.1 3:16)“And at the proper time manifested in his word through thepreaching with which I have been entrusted by thecommand of God our Savior.” (Titus 1:3). Therefore, Paul is theonly one among the New Testament writers who talked of Jesus’(PBUH) divinity.
