(٨٨)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?many other prophets; theref<strong>or</strong>e, he left Jerusalem calling it ‘killer ofprophets’ not ‘Killer of Gods’.When he (PBUH) perf<strong>or</strong>med h<strong>is</strong> miracles, he used to pray to Allah(S.W), linking h<strong>is</strong> miracles to h<strong>is</strong> message and prophethood. “But Isaid th<strong>is</strong> on account of the people standing around, thatthey may believe that you sent me.” (John 11:42)When the Jews tried to kill him once, he made a statement, in whichhe made a clear confession that he <strong>is</strong> human and just a messengerof Allah (S.W). “But now you seek to kill me, a man who hastold you the truth that I heard from God.” (John 8:40).Confirming that, he told h<strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>ciples many times that he <strong>is</strong> amessenger, and h<strong>is</strong> w<strong>or</strong>ds are infallible, f<strong>or</strong> he speaks withinspiration from Allah (S.W). “Jesus said to them again, "Peacebe with you. As the Father has sent me, even so I amsending you.” (John 20:21)He affirmed that again, when he said, “the Father who sent mehas himself given me a commandment--what to say andwhat to speak” (John 12:49) and he said, “the w<strong>or</strong>d that youhear <strong>is</strong> not mine but the Father's who sent me.” (John 14:24)"My teaching <strong>is</strong> not mine, but h<strong>is</strong> who sent me.” (John 7:16)he also said, “N<strong>or</strong> <strong>is</strong> a messenger greater than the <strong>one</strong> whosent him.” (John 13:16)That every<strong>one</strong> during h<strong>is</strong> time believed in him as a prophet, andconfronting him with that, without h<strong>is</strong> objection, <strong>is</strong> anotherconfirmation that he (PBUH) was just a prophet. “Fear seizedthem all, and they gl<strong>or</strong>ified God, saying, "A great prophethas ar<strong>is</strong>en among us!" and "God has v<strong>is</strong>ited h<strong>is</strong> people!”(Luke 7:16) and when he fed the crowd with the five loaves and twof<strong>is</strong>h, people said, “"Th<strong>is</strong> <strong>is</strong> indeed the Prophet who <strong>is</strong> to comeinto the w<strong>or</strong>ld!” (John 6:14) even Paul, “f<strong>or</strong> there <strong>is</strong> <strong>one</strong> God,and there <strong>is</strong> <strong>one</strong> mediat<strong>or</strong> between God and men, the manChr<strong>is</strong>t Jesus.” (Tim.1 2:5)In h<strong>is</strong> book ‘The Spreading Universe’ Sir Arthur Findlay was right. Hesaid, “Jesus was not God <strong>or</strong> savi<strong>or</strong>, but he was a messenger of Godwho served, during h<strong>is</strong> sh<strong>or</strong>t life, to cure the sick and to tell newsabout the hereafter. He taught that life in th<strong>is</strong> w<strong>or</strong>ld <strong>is</strong> just apreparation f<strong>or</strong> the Kingdom of God, which <strong>is</strong> a better life f<strong>or</strong> everyrighteous.”
