(٩٨)IS ALLAH (S.W) ONE OR THREE?Refuting Chr<strong>is</strong>tian Evidence f<strong>or</strong> the Divinity of theHoly SpiritI suppose that what I have menti<strong>one</strong>d about the meaning of the HolySpirit in the Holy Bible <strong>is</strong> enough to d<strong>is</strong>prove th<strong>is</strong> strange belief.M<strong>or</strong>eover, the meaning of the w<strong>or</strong>ds “the Holy Spirit”, whichChr<strong>is</strong>tians believe, does not ex<strong>is</strong>t in the Holy Bible. If we attentivelystudy the passages, which mention the Holy Spirit, we will be certainabout the strangeness of th<strong>is</strong> belief.The Holy Spirit incarnated itself into different images - <strong>one</strong> as apigeon, which descended on Jesus (PBUH) while he was praying,“and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily f<strong>or</strong>m, likea dove” (Luke 3/22). Was that pigeon Allah (S.W)?At another time, it came as fiery tongues, when it overshadowed thed<strong>is</strong>ciples on the fiftieth day. “And suddenly there came fromheaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled theentire house where they were sitting. And divided tonguesas of fire appeared to them and rested on each <strong>one</strong> of them.And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2/2-4)Why do Chr<strong>is</strong>tians not accept that the Holy Spirit could be Gabriel(PBUH) <strong>or</strong> Allah’s (S.W) angel as menti<strong>one</strong>d in their Holy Book? TheHoly Spirit came to C<strong>or</strong>nelius and Peter, and he was <strong>one</strong> of Allah’s(S.W) angels “the Spirit said to him, "Behold, <strong>three</strong> men arelooking f<strong>or</strong> you. R<strong>is</strong>e and go down and accompany themwithout hesitation, f<strong>or</strong> I have sent them. And Peter wentdown to the men…. And they said, C<strong>or</strong>nelius…. Wasdirected by a holy angel to send f<strong>or</strong> you to come to h<strong>is</strong>house and to hear what you have to say.” (Acts 10/20-22) TheHoly angel was the Spirit that spoke to Peter and it was he, whoasked C<strong>or</strong>nelius to send h<strong>is</strong> men to Peter.The enemy of the Israelites from among the angels <strong>is</strong> Gabriel(PBUH). He <strong>is</strong> the Holy Spirit who saved them many times, thenwhen they ins<strong>is</strong>ted on d<strong>is</strong>believing, he became angry with them,tut<strong>or</strong>ed them, and became their enemy. “And the angel of h<strong>is</strong>presence saved them; in h<strong>is</strong> love and in h<strong>is</strong> pity heredeemed them; he lifted them up and carried them all thedays of old. But they rebelled and grieved h<strong>is</strong> Holy Spirit;theref<strong>or</strong>e he turned to be their enemy, and himself foughtagainst them.” (Isaiah 63/9-10) They upset Allah’s (S.W) HolySpirit, the angel, thus, turning h<strong>is</strong> love to enmity.
