Peter said, “"Repent and be baptized every <strong>one</strong> of youin the name of Jesus Chr<strong>is</strong>t f<strong>or</strong> the f<strong>or</strong>giveness of your sins,and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” (Acts 2:38).The Samaritans were baptizing by the bapt<strong>is</strong>m of John the Bapt<strong>is</strong>t,when they heard Peter, “They were baptized in the name of theL<strong>or</strong>d Jesus.” (Acts 19:5) Peter did not ask them to baptize by thename of the Father and the Holy Spirit. 2The h<strong>is</strong>t<strong>or</strong>y of the d<strong>is</strong>ciples assures us that they did not know aboutthat passage. They did not go to preach to all people as Jesus toldthem in that claimed passage. On the contrary, he told them to avoidpreaching any<strong>one</strong> other than the Jews. “These twelve Jesus sentout, instructing them, "Go nowhere among the Gentiles andenter no town of the Samaritans. but go rather to the lostsheep of the house of Israel.” (Matthew 10/5-6).Th<strong>is</strong> c<strong>or</strong>responds with a second century h<strong>is</strong>t<strong>or</strong>ical testimony, whichcontradicts the command of preaching to the nations and contradictsbaptizing them with the Trinity. Apollonius, the h<strong>is</strong>t<strong>or</strong>ian, said, “I havereceived from the elders that Jesus, bef<strong>or</strong>e ascending to heaven,commanded h<strong>is</strong> d<strong>is</strong>ciples not to go far from Jerusalem f<strong>or</strong> twelveyears.” 3The d<strong>is</strong>ciples followed what Jesus (PBUH) said.
