Determining Instrument ErrorsThe calibration contains thedetermination of the followinginstrument errors:• Hz-collimation• V-index (simultaneouslyelectronic level)Opens the menufunctions.Shortcut to the function"CALIBRATION".To determine instrument errormeasurements must be made inboth telescope faces.Either telescope face may be thestarting point.The user is guided clearly throughthe procedure. As a result, awrong determination of instrumenterror is eliminated.With motorizedinstruments a switch tothe next telescope face takesplace automatically after ameasurement. Theinstrument should be secure andfirm, and should be protectedfrom direct sunlight in order toavoid thermal warming on oneside only.145
