potential (2) are now completely <strong>de</strong>term<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>and</strong> we have the right cut–<br />

off <strong>in</strong> the mass power spectrum.<br />

3. SCALAR DARK MATTER AND PLANCK<br />

SCALE PHYSICS<br />

At galactic scale, numerical simulations show some discrepancies between<br />

dark–matter predictions <strong>and</strong> observations [24]. Dark matter simulations<br />

show cuspy halos of galaxies with an excess of small scale structure,<br />

while observations suggest a constant halo core <strong>de</strong>nsity [25] <strong>and</strong><br />

a small number of subgalactic objects [26]. There have been some proposals<br />

for resolv<strong>in</strong>g the dark matter crisis (see for example [24, 26]).<br />

A promis<strong>in</strong>g mo<strong>de</strong>l is that of a self–<strong>in</strong>teract<strong>in</strong>g dark matter [27]. This<br />

proposal consi<strong>de</strong>rs that dark matter particles have an <strong>in</strong>teraction characterized<br />

by a scatter<strong>in</strong>g cross section by mass of the particles given by<br />

[25, 27]
