The Menu SystemThe CDK-111A-Lite is configured through a menu system. Each card is set upindividually and can respond to commands from a variety of sources, most oftenfrom serial control devices such as switchers, computers, or edit controllers.Although each card can be operated using its card edge controls or a control panel,often it will be controlled from a remote device. Various menu options must beselected so that the card can read signals from the various remote devices. Thissection provides detailed descriptions of the menus and their item options.Menu Feature DescriptionsThe menus are laid out like the menu shown below:1) Menu Number and Title 3) One Line Help 5) Value Column2) Menu Cursor 4) Item Column1) Menu Number and TitleThe 15 menus are numbered 1 to F. Each has a title, which describesthe focus of that particular menu. Position 0 is reserved for standalonekeyer operation mode.2) Menu CursorThe menu cursor can be moved up and down the left hand columnusing the card edge controls or the control panel buttons. It can also bemoved to the right hand column to change the values associated withthe item.3) One Line HelpSome items have a One Line Help line at the bottom of the menu,which provides a brief explanation of that item.4) Item ColumnThe left hand column is a list of items, which provide informationabout the card or item headings which require configuration.5) Value ColumnThe right hand column displays the value of its associated item.CDK-111A-Lite • Owner’s Guide v4B Operation • 3-9
