GVG MASTER2100 Emulation ProtocolThis section provides selected GVG MASTER2100 Protocol commands supportedby the <strong>CDK</strong>-<strong>111A</strong>-<strong>Lite</strong>.If your application requires further GVG MASTER2100 protocol command support,please contact <strong>Ross</strong> <strong>Video</strong> with this request.<strong>Ross</strong> <strong>Video</strong>’s use of the protocol deviates from the standards defined in the GVGAutomation Interface Protocol Manual, (5.1 software release, Technical Reference071011605, for the M-2100 Digital Master Control System, revised printing: July2001,) in these respects:• Subscription command class is not supported.• Audio processing commands not supported, audio processor status requestsget a return stating “Quiescent”.• The <strong>CDK</strong>-<strong>111A</strong>-<strong>Lite</strong> ignores commands it is not capable of performing, i.e.4 keyer control, wipes.Command FormatThe following is a sample command using the MASTER2100 emulation protocol.02 84 01 82 01 77 4FNoteThe spaces between characters in the sample command is forexplanation/display purposes only.The sample command fields and syntax are explained in the following table andsections.Command Format Component FieldsHeader Fields Command Fields Footer FieldStarttransmissionMessagebyte lengthCommandClassData fieldbyte lengthID Value Data field Checksum02 84 01 up to 05 82 01 77 4FHeader Field Descriptions02 = Start Transmission field, mandatory opening byte, in ASCII Hex.84 = Message byte length, not including itself, the start transmission byte, or theChecksum byte(s), in ASCII Hex. All byte counts can be encoded as one or twobytes. If the most significant bit of the first byte is set, then the byte count consists ofonly one byte.
