3 Technical description3.3.4 Standby lossThe standby loss q B is the proportion of combustionoutput required to maintain the specified boiler watertemperature. The cause of this loss is the cooling down of the boilerthrough radiation and convection during the standby time(burner idle time). Radiation and convection result in partof the heating output being transferred continuously fromthe boiler surface to the ambient air. In addition to thissurface loss, the boiler can also cool down to a lesserdegree through the chimney draught.q B [%] 0,70,60,50,4a0,30,20,1bcFig. 21q Bϕ Kabc020 30 40 50 60 70ϑ K [°C]Standby loss of the Logano plus SB315,SB615 and SB745, subject to the averageboiler water temperatureStandby lossAverage boiler water temperatureLogano plus SB315 and SB315 VMLogano plus SB615 and SB615 VMLogano plus SB7456 720 642 881-20.2T28Technical guide Floor standing gas/oil condensing boilers Logano plus SB315, SB615, SB745 – 6 720 802 589 (2012/01)
