9 Installation9.4 Information on installationPipework installation• Ensure the boiler is vented.• In open vented systems, route pipework with a risetowards the diaphragm expansion vessel.• Do not design reductions in the pipework inhorizontal lines.• Ensure pipework is not subject to mechanical stress.Electrical installation• Permanent connection required to VDE 0100,VDE 0116 and VDE 0722. It may be necessary toadhere to local regulations.• Ensure cables and capillaries are routed carefully.Commissioning• Check the quality of the fill and top-up water( page 41).• Flush the entire heating system before filling.Leak test• Carry out leak test to standard DIN 18380.
