DOCTORAL DEGREE PROGRAMDOCTOR OF MANAGEMENTProgram DescriptionToday’s business leaders require a more sophisticated level <strong>of</strong> knowledgeand analysis to successfully maneuver their organizationsthrough the complexities <strong>of</strong> a rapidly changing global environment.The Doctor <strong>of</strong> Management (DM) degree is designed for seasonedmanagers who want to rise above their peers and hold significantleadership roles in public or private organizations anywhere in theworld. The doctoral-level curriculum builds executive competenciesand helps experienced pr<strong>of</strong>essionals acquire the advanced theoreticaland practical knowledge and leadership skills needed to identify newopportunities that can add value to their organizations and sustaintheir long-term competitiveness. The goal <strong>of</strong> the Doctor <strong>of</strong> Managementprogram is to provide graduates with the credentials and abilitiesthat will position them as experts in their fields.Program ObjectivesGraduates <strong>of</strong> this program will be able to• Function effectively as leaders in an organization.• Understand management theory and practice.• Formulate and execute business strategies and operational plans.• Develop knowledge base and solid understanding <strong>of</strong> technologyacquisition, organizational and behavioral processes, assessment,and global operations.Program OverviewThe Doctor <strong>of</strong> Management program requires the completion <strong>of</strong>48 credits <strong>of</strong> coursework, including comprehensive examinationsand a dissertation. DMGT 600 is prerequisite to the program; thiscourse requirement may be waived for applicants who have alreadycompleted a terminal degree (e.g., JD or PhD) or who submit aGMAT score <strong>of</strong> 650 or higher.
