NONDEGREE TEACHEREDUCATION PROGRAMSTEACHER EDUCATION READING STRAND:READING COURSES IN ELEMENTARYAND SECONDARY EDUCATIONProgram DescriptionThe reading courses in elementary education (four courses) and secondaryeducation (two courses) are designed for teachers seeking tomeet Maryland certification and recertification requirements. Theyprovide a thorough foundation in the theories, processes, and acquisitionof reading needed for the teaching of reading to elementary andsecondary students.
