T ,. ~0RESOLUTION OF THE MUNICIPAL COUNCIL OF THE CITY 0 Ù ~JERSEY CITY AUTHORIZING ACCEPTANCE AND EXECUTION OF AGRANT AGREEMENT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF HOUSINGAND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR BROWNFIELDS ECONOMICDEVELOPMENT INITIATIVE FUNDS FOR THE TRAMZ HOTEL ATLIBERTY HARBOR NORTH AND AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITHSTATUE OF LIBERTY HARBOR NORTH REDEVELOPMENT UR LLCWHEREAS, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development issued a Notice ofFunding Availability (NOFA) for Brownfields Economic Development Initiative funds(SEDI); andWHEREAS, the City applied for and has been awarded $1.9 milion in BEDI funds for theTramz Hotel at Liberty Harbor North; andWHEREAS, the BEDI grant wil be used for acquisition, remediation and otherdevelopment related expensesfor the construction of the hotel; andWHEREAS, the BED I grant must be entirely withdrawn and expended for approved usesby January 31, 2011.NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Municipal Council of the City of JerseyCity that:the SEDI Grant Agreement.
