VApproved: OCT 2 8 2009TITLE:RESOLUTION AUTHORIINGTHE CITY OF JERSEY CITY TO ENTER INO A COSTREIMURSEMENT AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTH JERSEY TRASPORTATIONPLANG AUTHORIY AN THE NEW JERSEY INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY WHCHWILL ENABLE JERSEY CITY TO RECEIV FUING FOR FUTUR TASK ORDERSCOUNCIL AS A WHOLE OFFERED AN MOVED ADOPTION OF TH FOLLOWIGRESOLUTION:WHREAS, each year a Unified Planning Work Progr including <strong>the</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> SubregionalTransporttion Planing (STP) Program is developed by <strong>the</strong> Nort <strong>Jersey</strong> TransporttionPlaning Authority (NJTPA), andWHREAS, <strong>the</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> Division <strong>of</strong> <strong>City</strong> Planning is <strong>the</strong> designated SubregionalTransporttion Planing agency for <strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong>; andWHREAS, <strong>the</strong> NJTPA has approved $71,976.25 for implementation <strong>of</strong>Program; andFiscal Year 2010 STPWHREAS, <strong>of</strong> <strong>the</strong> funding available as <strong>of</strong> July 1,2009, <strong>the</strong> Federal Highway Authority(FHWA) contributes $43,185.75, <strong>the</strong> Federal Transit Administrtion (FTA) contributes$14,395.25 and <strong>the</strong> local match is $14,395.25;NOW, THREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by <strong>the</strong> Municipal Council <strong>of</strong><strong>City</strong> that:<strong>the</strong> <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong>i. The <strong>City</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Jersey</strong> <strong>City</strong> is hereby authorized to enter into a Basic Agreement with <strong>the</strong>North <strong>Jersey</strong> Transporttion Planing Authority and New <strong>Jersey</strong> Institute <strong>of</strong>Technology; and2.
