students who were divided into (38) students in the exper imental group and(39) student in the control group. <strong>The</strong> researcher designed and made use ofcognitive achievement test and the test was used as pre – and post tests ,<strong>The</strong> research findings revealed that there were statistically significantdifferences between the scores of the experimental subjects and those ofthe control subjects in the post - test regarding the use of concept maps. <strong>The</strong>researcher recommended using the concept maps strategy in teachingpsychology in order to acquire some concepts and to d evelop the attitudestowards it .Vakilifard and Armand (2006 )<strong>The</strong> study aims at observing the effects of an instructional sequence ,based on the most effective approaches tested in first languages , oninformative text comprehension in French as a second language. <strong>The</strong>sample of the study was ( 18 ) students who are selected from the adultsstudents of various mother tongue s school of the universitê du QuêbecMontrêal , the researcher divided the sample of two equivalent groups ( 9 )for experimental group and ( 9) for control group . <strong>The</strong> researchers usedquestions as an instrument . <strong>The</strong> result obtained with comprehensionquestionnaires on the reading text specific to each meeting indicated thatthe experimental group obtained a better performance than the group thathad used the traditional approach .88
