IIIMethodologyIntroduction :This chapter contains the procedures followed through out the study . Itintroduces a complete description of the methodology of the study , thepopulation , the sample , the instrumentation , the pilot study , adescription of concept maps used in the study , Moreover , it introduces thestatistical treatment for the study finding .3.1 Research designThe study adopts the experimental approach which requires two groups ofstudents ; an experimental g roup and control one . The strategy of conceptmaps was used in teaching the subjects of the experimental group while thetraditional method was used with the control group subjects .3.2 The population of the study :The population of the study consisted of all ninth graders in UNRWAschools in Gaza governoratefor the school year ( 2007 – 2008 ) .
