Configuration Changes After Resource CreationConfiguration Changes After Resource CreationThe LifeKeeper WebSphere MQ Recovery Kit uses WebSphere MQ commands to start and stopthe queue manager. For WebSphere MQ v5.3, if you change the logging type of the queuemanager, the WebSphere MQ recovery kit automatically detects whether the log formatter mustbe protected or not. Therefore, no changes are required if changes to the WebSphere MQconfiguration are made. There are some exceptions to this rule that are listed below.Relocating QMDIR and QMLOGDIRIf you change the location of the QMDIR and QMLOGDIR, the LifeKeeper configuration has tobe modified. You have the following options to do so:1. Recreate the queue manager resource hierarchies.This involves deletion of the queue manager hierarchy and creation of the queue managerhierarchy. See sections “Deleting a WebSphere MQ Hierarchy” and “Creating a WebSphereMQ Resource Hierarchy” for details.2. Create the new file system hierarchies manually and add the new file system hierarchies tothe WebSphere MQ hierarchy. Remove the old file system hierarchies from the WebSphereMQ hierarchy and remove the old file system hierarchies. See the LifeKeeper for LinuxPlanning and Installation Guide for details on how to create and remove file systemhierarchies.Changing the Listener Port for WebSphere MQ v5.3If you want to change the listener port of a queue manager follow these steps:1. Stop the queue manager from the LifeKeeper GUI.2. Change the listener port in the TCP section of the queue manager configuration file (qm.ini)file.3. Start the queue manager from the LifeKeeper GUI.If you do not want to stop your queue manager you can use the following steps:1. Disable listener management for the queue manager.See the section “Editing Configuration Resource Properties” for details.2. Stop the listener from the command line.You must use the kill command to stop the listener because the listener cannot be stopped whilethe queue manager is running. The following example will stop the listener for queue managerTEST.QM. Replace the queue manager name with the name of your queue manager.ps -ax | grep runmqlsr | grep TEST.QM | awk '{print $1}' | xargs kill-93.
