IntroductionAbbreviationsThe following abbreviations are used throughout this document:AbbreviationHAQMDIRQMLOGDIRMQUSERMQGROUPUIDGIDMeaningHighly Available, High AvailabilityWebSphere MQ queue manager directory. Thisdirectory holds the queue manager persistent queuedata and is typically located in /var/mqm/qmgrs withthe name of the queue manager as subdirectory name.The exact location of this directory is specified in theglobal mqs.ini configuration file.WebSphere MQ queue manager log directory. Thisdirectory holds the queue manager log data and istypically located in /var/mqm/log with the queuemanager name as subdirectory. The exact location ofthis directory is specified in the queue managerconfiguration file (QMDIR/qm.ini).The operating system user running all WebSphereMQ commands. This user is the owner of theQMDIR. The user must be a member of theMQGROUP administrative group mqm (see below).The operating system user group that the MQUSERmust be part of.
