The <strong>University</strong> willmake reasonable efforts to notify the student before complying with the orderor subpoena.D. Record of DisclosuresThe <strong>University</strong> will maintain with a student's education records a list of each requestand each disclosure of personally identifiable information. The list will not includedisclosures:(1) to the student;(2) pursuant to the written consent of the student (the written consent itself willsuffice as a record);(3) to instructional or administrative officials of the <strong>University</strong>; or(4) of directory information.The disclosure record shall indicate each party that has requested or received theinformation and the legitimate interest the party had in requesting or receiving theinformation. The record may be inspected by the student, the official custodian ofthe records, and other <strong>University</strong> and governmental officials.V. CORRECTION OF EDUCATIONAL RECORDSA. Request to Correct RecordsA student who believes that information contained in the student's education recordsis inaccurate, misleading, or volatile of privacy or other rights may submit a writtenrequest to the Office of Records and Registration. A request must identify thespecific document(s) being challenged and the basis for the complaint. Within areasonable time after receiving the request, the <strong>University</strong> will decide whether toamend the records. The student shall be notified of the decision in writing. If thedecision is to refuse to amend, the student will be notified and will be advised of theright to a hearing. The student may then exercise that right by written request to theRegistrar.B. HearingOn request by a student, the <strong>University</strong> will provide an opportunityfor a hearing to challenge the content of the student's records. A request for ahearing should be in writing and submitted to the Office of Records and Registration.Within a reasonable time after the request is received, the student will be givenwritten notice of the date, place, and time of the hearing.
