Sessions relating to the use of library resources and the developmentsearch strategy skills can be given. Library tours are conducted when classes arenot in session -- and occasionally when classes are in session, but only duringnormally slack periods. A week’s notice is necessary for any of these services.Contact the Reference Department at extension 3450.Normal hours of operation of the Bookstore are Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to5:00 p.m., with extended hours during registration periods. The Bookstore provides, inaddition to textbooks (new and used), a large number of convenience supplies and sundryitems. Fashionable leisure wears bearing the <strong>Morgan</strong> <strong>State</strong> <strong>University</strong> logo are availableas well as a large variety of Greek paraphernalia. Exciting gift ideas are featured and canbe mail ordered through the Bookstore’s gift catalog. Additionally, the “Marketplace”section offers beverages, convenience foods and toiletries.3.3 Technical Support and Technology Training-The Division of Planning and Information Technology encompasses thefollowing functions:Institutional Research and Planning; Educational Technology; AdministrativeComputing; Technical Support and E-Mail; Network Management; TechnologyTraining and Blackboard.Technical Support provides Help Desk assistance at ext. 4357 (HELP) andtechnicians, when necessary, for on-site hardware/software problems.Technology Training provides free on-campus software training for faculty andpublishes classes and helpful information on the <strong>Morgan</strong> website.3.4 Post OfficePost Office boxes are available to faculty in limited quantities. Postal charges for<strong>University</strong>-related mail are charged to individual department budgets on a monthly basis.The hours of operation are: Monday –Friday, 9:00 a.m. t o 5:00 p.m.; student mailpickup: 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday, (Fall & Spring Semesters) 10:00 a.m. to2:00 p.m.3.5 Physical PlantThe Physical Plant Department’s administrative office is located on the third floor of theWashington Service Center. Physical Plant is responsible for the operation andmaintenance of <strong>University</strong> buildings and grounds which support and enhance theacademic and administrative environment. The reporting of obvious problems, (i.e.,improperly operating restrooms, broken doors, leaks, etc.) significantly assist PhysicalPlant in these endeavors. Additionally, the promotion and advocating of minimizingabuse and promoting cleanliness and neatness also assists Physical Plant in attaining itsgoals.
