Application for Promotion and/or Tenure - An Associate Professorwishing to be reviewed for promotion and/or tenure shall submit anApplication no later than the third Monday in September of the secondacademic year of the 3-year appointment. An Associate Professor whofails to submit a timely Application shall not be entitled to be consideredfor promotion and/or tenure and employment shall end at the end of the3-year contract term.D. Review Procedure - See IV.A of this APT Policy.E. Official Notice of Final Decision to Grant Tenure or to Terminate theEmployment Contract - The Associate Professor shall be notified by thePresident in writing by the end of the second academic year of thePresident's decision on the Applicant's Application for tenure but thefailure to timely notify shall not provide a right to continuedemployment.3. ProfessorsA. Minimum Qualifications - In addition to having the qualifications of anAssociate Professor, the candidate must have attained recognition as anoutstanding scholar and instructor.B. Term of Appointment - The appointment to the rank of Professorshall be for a term of three (3) years.C. Application for Tenure - Professors wishing to be reviewed for tenureshall submit an Application no later than the third Monday in Septemberof the second academic year of their 3-year appointment. A Professorwho fails to submit a timely Application shall not be entitled to beconsidered for tenure.D.
