The areas covering this responsibility include: financialaid, career development, student activities and the McKeldin StudentCenter, health services, and intercollegiate athletics. housing andresidence programs. The Vice President for Student Affairs providesleadership within the Division for program and budget planning,operations monitoring and management, and the evaluation of allperformances of the Student Affairs Division.1.4.9 Administrative Committees1.4.9.1 President’s Management TeamThe President’s Management Team consists of the Provost,Assistant Provost, Vice Presidents, the Executive Assistant to thePresident, the Director of <strong>State</strong> Relations, the Internal Auditor andthe General Counsel, who manage their respective units andprovide the President with information and recommendations.Periodically, the Management Team meeting is attended byrepresentatives of other campus units which provide additionalinformation; such meetings are referred to as “ExtendedManagement Team Meetings.”1.4.9.2 Academic Affairs CouncilThe Academic Affairs Council is comprised of the Provostand Vice President for Academic Affairs, the AssistantProvost, and the Deans. The Council meets at least bimonthlyto facilitate management of the academic affairsdivision.1.4.9.3 The <strong>University</strong> CouncilThe <strong>University</strong> Council is a campus-wide governancestructure involving the administration, faculty, professionaladministrative staff, classified staff, and student body in theon-going operation of the <strong>University</strong>. The <strong>University</strong>Council Constitution/Bylaws sets forth the composition ofand responsibilities of the <strong>University</strong> Council.
