As with aggravatedbatteries <strong>in</strong>volv<strong>in</strong>g a firearm, the comb<strong>in</strong>ed targeted gangs had a slightly smaller percentage<strong>in</strong>crease <strong>in</strong> offenders for aggravated assault across the program period, compared to other Lat<strong>in</strong>oand African-American gangs comb<strong>in</strong>ed (11.3% versus 13.8%).Other Offenses, By <strong>Gang</strong>In addition to look<strong>in</strong>g at the gang-motivated violence <strong>in</strong>dex offenses <strong>in</strong> <strong>Little</strong> <strong>Village</strong>, weexam<strong>in</strong>ed gang offender trends <strong>in</strong> District 10 across gangs to determ<strong>in</strong>e whether other gangmotivatedcrim<strong>in</strong>al activities showed an <strong>in</strong>crease or decrease <strong>in</strong> offenders. <strong>Gang</strong>-offender dataare presented rather than <strong>in</strong>cident data, to allow for comparison by specific age and gangaffiliationcharacteristics of offenders.Armed Robberies. Table 15.17 conta<strong>in</strong>s offender <strong>in</strong>formation on gang-motivated armedrobbery. <strong>The</strong> data <strong>in</strong>dicate that an overall <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>in</strong> the number of offenders – 163.2% –occurred over the program period; the larger <strong>in</strong>crease be<strong>in</strong>g among members of other Lat<strong>in</strong>o andAfrican-American gangs. <strong>The</strong> Lat<strong>in</strong> K<strong>in</strong>gs showed the lowest <strong>in</strong>crease <strong>in</strong> this crime category –52.4%. <strong>The</strong> <strong>in</strong>crease for the Two Six was very large, but this is ma<strong>in</strong>ly an artifact of the lownumber of robbery offenders (n = 1) attributed to the Two Six <strong>in</strong> the pre-program period.Damage To Property/Trespass. <strong>The</strong> largest number of offenders <strong>in</strong>volved <strong>in</strong> crim<strong>in</strong>aldamage to property/trespass-related offenses (probably ma<strong>in</strong>ly graffiti) were from the targetedgangs (Table 15.18). <strong>The</strong> largest change occurred for the Two Six, whose offenders <strong>in</strong>creased15.15
