Changes <strong>in</strong> dem<strong>and</strong> <strong>and</strong> pump status,for <strong>in</strong>stance, are normally easy for schedul<strong>in</strong>g programs to deal with, however pipe burstscan present much greater difficulties. This is an important area where the KBS approach isexpected to have major advantages over the traditional programm<strong>in</strong>g methods, because ithas the potential to be able to h<strong>and</strong>le unplanned changes <strong>in</strong> connectivity.
