CHAPTER 13MARKUP FROM FILE

he Markup from File tool is designed to operate on any Net Station Native file.
The Markup from File tool does not produce an output file; it modifies the current
input file. Specifically, the tool enables you to:
• separate the EEG data from the mark-up events in a Net Station file;
• modify either the data or the mark-up events or both outside of Net Station; and
then
• recombine them into the Net Station file.
Markup from File also permits you to create an ASCII text file that adds mark-up
events to a Net Station file or that marks good or bad channels or segments.
Caution!: Because the Markup from File tool modifies the file it is run on, run the
tool only on the file associated with those specific mark-up events or on a copy of
the file.
Note: A tool clipping of the Markup from File specification cannot be successfully made
and shared. Markup from File derives its tool-specific parameters from a file that is
selected in the tool specification editor by the user. Copying the tool clipping from one
computer to another breaks the file path.
