1: The Waveform Tools Window • Tool Set pop-up menu: displays all the user-created Tool Sets. A Tool Set is a way to organize your tools into groups (for example, all the filters may be placed in a “Filters” Tool Set). A Tool Set does not remove specific tools from the All Tools set; it copies the tools to the new Tool Set. When an item is chosen from this menu, only the tools in that set are displayed in the Specifications pane (Figure 1-1 shows the tools in the Filters Tool Set). • Create Tool Set: opens a dialog for naming a Tool Set. If any tools are selected in the Specifications panel when you click the Create Tool Set button, those tools are automatically part of the new Tool Set. Otherwise, the new Tool Set is empty and must be populated using the Add Tool to Set button (described later in this section). • Delete Tool Set: deletes the Tool Set currently chosen from the Tool Set pop-up menu. The specific tools in that set are not deleted from the All Tools set. • Add Tool to Set: adds selected tools to a user-chosen Tool Set. Select the tools in the Specifications pane, click the Add Tool to Set button, and choose a Tool Set from the Available Sets pop-up menu that appears. 3. View Tool Specifications pane. Lists the settings for the selected specification. These are the settings that were selected when the specification was created in the tool specification editor. The disclosure triangle in the upper-left corner toggles the display of this pane. 4. Run button. Begins processing the input data using the selected specification. 5. Jobs/Results button. Displays the Jobs and Results window, which shows the status of past and current processing jobs. For more information on the Jobs and Results window, see Chapter 2, "Jobs and Results Window.” 6. Resize handles. Resize the Specifications panel (2). Drag a handle to resize. Note that there are two ways to select multiple items in the Inputs pane and the Specifications pane. • To select two items and everything between them: select an item, hold down the Shift key, then select another item. • To select any combination of items: select an item, hold down the Command key, then select one or more other items.
