Using Group Icon to Define Operator Precedence

You can use the Group icon to put combinations of criteria in parenthesis to define a
specific precedence of operations. Figure 17-12 shows the Criteria area after dragging
in the Group icon. A rectangle (1) is displayed.
You can drag criteria into the rectangle to place them inside the parenthesis (see
Figure 17-13).

You can drag criteria in three ways:

• Use the Browse Event Criteria window to drag criteria that have been extracted
from a file.
• Drag Criteria icons (1) and manually set up the values.
• Drag criteria that are already in the Criteria area (2) to another part of the
Criteria area.
In addition, you can click the Boolean operator (3) to change it from AND to OR and
back.
