The Threshold and Inferences Sections
To create an Artifact Detection tool, fill in the Threshold Artifact Detection Settings
section only, the Perform Inferences section only, or both sections.
Threshold Artifact Detection Settings
In the Threshold Artifact Detection Settings section, the tool both detects and marks
bad channels and only detects eye blinks and eye movements.

4: Artifact Detection
To detect bad channels, eye blinks, or eye movement, the tool uses the data from each
channel, eye-blink pair, or eye-movement pair. Table 4-1 lists the eye-blink pairs and
the one eye-movement pair for each GSN model.
Note: All models except the 32- and 64-channel HCGSNs have four eye-blink pairs; those
two models feature only two eye-blink pairs.
