The following are brief descriptions <strong>of</strong> the numbered items from Figure 19-3.<br />

1. Measure pop-up menu. Allows you to choose one <strong>of</strong> the following measures:<br />

• Mean Amplitude: the mean voltage value is calculated from the time window.<br />

• Adaptive Mean: first, the algorithm finds a peak (maximum) within the time<br />

window. Then, a new time window is defined around this peak (maximum).<br />

The mean voltage value is calculated from the new time window. This measure<br />

requires additional parameters, specifying how to define the new time window.<br />

So, if you select this measure, additional controls appear. They are discussed in<br />

“Adaptive Mean Controls” on page 178.<br />
