YENİDEN YAPILANMA DÖNEMİNDE
TÜRKMEN SİNEMASI
1980’lerin sonundan 1990’a kadar üretilen
filmler önceki dönemde yapılan filmlerden
yapı itibari ile farklı olsalar da,
genel hatları ile o dönemin devamı biçimindedir.
1986-1987 yıllarında stüdyoda
üretilen filmler “Senin Kardeşin Benim
Kardeşimdir”, “Elveda Meleğim”, “Küçük
Adadaki Serüvenler”, “Yoldan Geçen
Olmak İstemiyorum”, “İntikam Vadisi”,
“Gizli Elçi”dir. 1988 yılında Türkmen film
stüdyolarında üretilen 3 uzun metrajlı
film ise “Eski Dağların Destanı”, “Sihirli
Boncuk Masalı” ve “Delişmen”dir.
1989-1990 yıllarında yapılmış en başarılı
film Narlıyev’in yönetmenliğini yaptığı
“Mankurt” filmidir. Bu film, Türk ve
Türkmen sinemacılarının ilk ortak çalışması
olmasının yanı sıra, Türk oyuncuların
da Türkmen sinemasında ilk kez
oyunculuk sergiledikleri filmdir. Filmde
başrollerden birini meşhur Türk oyuncu
Tarık Tarcan canlandırıyor.
1990’lı yılların başlarında SSCB’de
başlayan bağımsızlık mücadeleleri sonucu
Türkmenistan da Sovyetlerden
ayrılarak 1991 yılında bağımsızlığını
ilan etti. Bağımsızlığın kazanılması ile
Türkmenistan sinemacıları da yeni bir
döneme girdiler. Bu dönem ile ilgili bilgi
ve birikimleri önümüzdeki sayılarda
aktarmaya çalışacağız. Bir sonraki sayımızda

Honor”. In 1960, the studio made
another full-length film: “Ten Steps
Towards East” The film focused on
Turkmenistan in the pre-revolutionary
and post-revolutionary periods.
In 1969, an adventure film called
“Adventures of Dovran” was made in
Turkmen film studio and it attracted
great attention from the child audience.
The film was telling the adventures of
a child who is nature lover as well as a
friend and protector of animals. In 1970,
the film “Friends! There is no Death”
was made about the Second World War
and the story of Turkmen warriors fighting
against Nazis. “My Friend Melekus”
made in 1972 in the comedy genre focused
on the modern Turkmen life.
TURKMEN CINEMA IN THE
RECONSTRUCTION ERA
Although the films produced in the
period from late 1980s to 1990 are different
from the films of previous era
in terms of structure, those periods
actually complement each other. Films
produced in the studio in the 1986-1987
period are as follows: “Your Brother
is My Brother”, “Farewell My Angel”,
“Adventures in Small Island”, “I Do
Not Want to be a Passerby”, “Revenge
Valley” and “Secret Envoy”. In 1988,
three full-length films were made in
Turkmen film studios. These are “Old
Mountains’ Legend”, “Tale of Magical
Beads” and “Madcap”.
“Mankurt” directed by Narlıyev is the
most successful film made between 1989
and 1990. This film is an adaptation of
well-known author Chingiz Aitmatov’s
novel “The Day Lasts More Than a
Hundred Years”. It is also the first
joint work of Turkish and Turkmen
film makers, and the first film starring
Turkish actors in Turkmen cinema.
One of the leading actors of the film is
famous Turkish actor Tarık Tarcan.
Turkmenistan declared independence
from the Union of Soviet Socialist
Republics in 1991 as a result of the
struggles for independence that
started in the USSR in early 1990s.
Independence marked a new era for
Turkmen film makers. In the next
