Impfungen vor<br />
Auslandreisen<br />
Um Infektionskrankheiten vorzubeugen,<br />
sollte man sich vor jeder Fernreise von<br />
einem Arzt beraten lassen. Idealerweise<br />
ge schieht dies vier bis sechs Wochen vor<br />
Abreise, damit allenfalls erforderliche<br />
Wiederholungsimpfungen noch durchgeführt<br />
werden können. Bei längeren Tropenaufenthalten<br />
ist eine Beratung zwei bis<br />
drei Monate vor Abreise sinnvoll. Je nach<br />
Reisezeit, -art und -dauer sowie Gesundheits<br />
zustand können Zu satzimpfungen<br />
sowie eine Malaria prophylaxe erforderlich<br />
sein. Gewisse Länder schreiben Pflichtimpfungen<br />
vor. Dazu gehört unter anderem<br />
die Gelbfieber impfung. Grund sätzlich<br />
sind derartige Impfungen gut verträglich.<br />
Vaccinations for<br />
travellers abroad<br />
To prevent infectious diseases, you should<br />
consult your doctor before every longdistance<br />
journey – ideally four to six weeks<br />
before departure to allow time for necessary<br />
repeat vaccinations. For longer tropical<br />
sojourns, a consultation two to three<br />
months before departure is recommended.<br />
Additional vaccinations may be advisable<br />
depending on the type and length of your<br />
journey and your per sonal health status.<br />
Malaria prevention tablets may also be<br />
necessary. Some countries require mandatory<br />
vaccinations, among them<br />
the yellow fever vaccination. In principle,<br />
vac cinations are well tolerated.<br />
