<strong>AEMI</strong> ANNUAL MEETING 2014, RIGA, LATVIA<br />
5. Treasurer´s Report 2012-2013<br />
Treasurer Eva Meyer presented the financial<br />
report 2012, and addressed the<br />
question of removing members that<br />
had not paid their subscrition for many<br />
years from the member list. The Board<br />
will work out a solution, and contact<br />
the institutions involved. The Presiding<br />
Officer thanked the Treasurer for her<br />
presentation and moved the adoption<br />
of the Treasurer´s Report. The meeting<br />
adopted the motion.<br />
6. Auditor´s Report 2012-2013<br />
The Auditor of <strong>AEMI</strong>, Mr. Erik Gustavsson,<br />
presented <strong>AEMI</strong>´s financial report.<br />
The Presiding Officer thanked Mr.<br />
Gustavsson and moved the adoption<br />
of his report. The meeting adopted the<br />
motion.<br />
7. Appointment of Auditor for 2013-2014<br />
The Chairman thanked Mr. Gustavsson<br />
for serving as auditor in the past<br />
years, and kindly asked him to stay on<br />
as Auditor for 2013-2014. The Presiding<br />
Officer moved that Mr. Gustavsson<br />
continued as Auditor, and the meeting<br />
adopted his motion.<br />
8. Treasurer´s Proposed Budget 2014<br />
Treasurer Eva Meyer proposed a budget<br />
for 2014, that was unanimoously supported<br />
by the Assembly. The Presiding<br />
Officer moved the adoption of the<br />
Treasurer´s Proposed Budget 2014. The<br />
meeting adopted the motion.<br />
9. Journal Editor´s Report 2012-2013<br />
Hans Storhaug, Editor of the <strong>AEMI</strong><br />
Journal, presented volume 11 of the<br />
Journal based on the theme of the<br />
Krakow conference Shaping Europe´s<br />

Identity - European Internal Migration.<br />
The Journal counted nine articles based<br />
on papers delivered at the Institute of<br />
Diaspora and Ethnic Studies, Jagiellonian<br />
University, Krakow, Poland. The<br />
Presiding Officer thanked the Editor for<br />
his presentation and moved the adoption<br />
of the Editor´s report. The meeting<br />
adopted the motion.<br />
10. Admission of New Members<br />
Nina M. Ray, Professor of Business<br />
and Marketing at the Boise State University,<br />
Idaho, has frequently attended<br />
the <strong>AEMI</strong> conferences and submitted<br />
articles for publication in the <strong>AEMI</strong><br />
Journal. Ms. Ray has applied for membership<br />
and was accepted as an associated<br />
member.<br />
The Emigration Museum in Gdynia,<br />
Poland, represented by Dr. Marcin Szerle<br />
was also accepted as member.<br />
11. Member´s Projects<br />
Mathias Nilsson informed the Assembly<br />
that the application for EU funding of<br />
his project Migraport had not been accepted.<br />
Some of the <strong>AEMI</strong> members already<br />
involved in the project would still<br />
be interested to collaborate with him on<br />
this project. Mathias Nilsson will also<br />
consider a new application for the ICT<br />
Policy Support Programme (ICP-PSP)<br />
which aims at stimulating innovation<br />
and competitiveness through the wider<br />
uptake and best use of ICT by citizens,<br />
governments and businesses.<br />
Maddalena Tirabassi encouraged the<br />
Assembly to contribute to the projec-<br />
Making Europe Bottom Up: European<br />
Migration History by sending her statistics,<br />
photos and articles on migration<br />
