Artificial.mummification.methods.have.been.developed.in.many.parts.of.
the.world.with.that.of.the.Ancient.Egyptians.being.among.the.most.successful..Nevertheless,.little.effort.has.been.made.to.explore.this.process.
on.an.experimental.basis..This.symposium.aims.to.present.the.results.
of.a.large.project.which.tried.experimentally.to.reconstruct.the.ancient.
Egyptian.mummification.method.by.applying.evidence-based.diagnostic.criteria.
and.state-of-the-art.methodology,.and. to. bring.researchers.
together.who.have.conducted.similar.experiments.on.animal.and.human.
tissues.
