Stewart Cellars<br />
Michael Stewart came to the Napa Valley in 2000, intent on making<br />
high-quality wines that meet the expectations Napa Valley wines<br />
demand. He and his wife, Anne, sought out one of the most renowned<br />
winemakers, Paul Hobbs. Together <strong>with</strong> Hobbs, the family pro<strong>du</strong>ces<br />
small lots of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley Merlot,<br />
Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir, Sonoma Mountain Chardonnay and the<br />
flagship wine, Stewart “NOMAD”.<br />
The Vineyards<br />
Stewart pays close attention to securing long-term grape contracts<br />
<strong>with</strong> premium vineyards, forever aiming for consistent quality and<br />
meaningful partnerships.<br />
For NOMAD, Beckstoffer’s Las Piedras vineyard has delivered every<br />
season since coming online in 2005. Max Vineyard and Dana Estate’s<br />
Crystal Springs make up Stewart Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon,<br />
Goldrock Ridge for Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir and Farina for Sonoma<br />
Mountain Chardonnay. Stewart pays close attention to quality but also<br />
the marketability of a vineyard. Combining a renowned winemaker<br />
and recognized vineyards result in superior quality every time.<br />
The Wines<br />
Consulting winemaker Paul Hobbs has been <strong>with</strong> Stewart since<br />
the winery’s inception. The wines are made at his facility, Crossbarn<br />
Winery, in Sebastopol. The combination of the Napa’s and Sonoma’s<br />
most coveted fruit sources, one of the world’s preeminent consulting<br />
winemakers and a focus on limited pro<strong>du</strong>ction enable Stewart to<br />
deliver the best quality possible.<br />
