Montagu Wines Story<br />
Montagu Wines is a tribute to Weston Edison’s great grandfather<br />
John, the second Lord Montagu of Beaulieu and a British automotive<br />
pioneer, who was the first person to drive an automobile to the<br />
Houses of Parliament. His son Edward, the third Lord Montagu,<br />
continues his father’s legacy to this day having founded the British<br />
National Motor Museum as well as a vineyard in southern England.<br />
Each has led an innovative and adventurous life, and it is Weston’s<br />
hope that you discover this spirit in each bottle of Montagu Wines.<br />
Silver Ghost Story<br />
Silver Ghost is also a tribute to Weston’s great grandfather, John<br />
Montagu, an English automotive pioneer at the turn of the last<br />
century. His friends Charles Rolls and Henry Royce asked John’s<br />
assistant to be the model for their new car company. The now iconic<br />
hood ornament, known as the Spirit of Ecstasy was born.<br />
Weston Eidson<br />
Montagu and Silver Ghost founder Weston Eidson is a North Texas<br />
native who grew up in Weatherford and gra<strong>du</strong>ated from Texas<br />
Christian University. His interest in wine was formed at a young age<br />
and continued to grow <strong>with</strong> trips to wine regions around the world<br />
culminating in working Napa harvest <strong>with</strong> Jason Moore of Mo<strong>du</strong>s<br />
Operandi Cellars in 2012. From here Weston founded Montagu Wines<br />
and Silver Ghost Cellars and continues to source some of the best<br />
fruit in the valley for his very limited pro<strong>du</strong>ction wines.<br />
Shay Aldriedge<br />
Shay grew up in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and went to school at<br />
Abilene Christian University. After having no interaction <strong>with</strong> wine<br />
growing up, while dating his now wife, her father accidentally<br />
opened a well-aged Napa cab and his eyes were opened. Since then,<br />
the family goes out to Napa yearly to find hidden gems. He’s been<br />
involved <strong>with</strong> Montagu Wines and Silver Ghost for two years and has<br />
a real passion for the brand and intro<strong>du</strong>cing people to it, whether<br />
avid collectors or people new to wine. Shay loves the wine app<br />
Delectable and enjoys connecting <strong>with</strong> winemakers out in Napa and<br />
