IFU: Lower cholesterol and
triglycerides in the blood.
Action: sterically hinders the
action of HMG-CoA reductase
Dosage: 20mg, 40mg, 80mg; tabs.
Route: P.O
Adverse Reaction: Muscle pain,
weakness, or tenderness, Fever,
Lack of energy, Yellowing of the
eyes or skin, Nausea, Pain in the
upper right part of the stomach,
Extreme fatigue or weakness,
Dark-colored urine.
Interactions: cyclosporine,
clarithromycin, colchicine:
Increased risk of myopathy.
