Tak<strong>in</strong>g my wife along, we left before dawn<br />

with Jackson Ferguson driv<strong>in</strong>g his wagon. On<br />

arrival we learned that her condition had required<br />

four attendants to care for her dur<strong>in</strong>g the night. She<br />

whispered to us, "Ano<strong>in</strong>t me and pray, and the<br />

Lord will heal me."<br />

As we prayed, commend<strong>in</strong>g her to the Great<br />

Physician, my wife ano<strong>in</strong>ted her. Soon Dr. Parrot<br />

began to pray <strong>in</strong> a loud voice, clapped her hands<br />

and said, "I am healed." She arose, dressed herself,<br />

and walked to another room to see Mrs. Sk<strong>in</strong>ner,<br />

after which she helped get d<strong>in</strong>ner. She rode <strong>in</strong> a<br />

chair on a lumber wagon <strong>in</strong>to Santa Rosa where<br />

she attended the even<strong>in</strong>g service free from all pa<strong>in</strong>.<br />

Oliver Sk<strong>in</strong>ner, who called himself an <strong>in</strong>fidel, was<br />

astonished and became a good witness to many<br />

<strong>in</strong>quirers.<br />

But we were not left with simply one<br />

demonstration of the Lord's will<strong>in</strong>gness to heal.<br />

Mr. Ferguson's sister-<strong>in</strong>-law, a bedfast <strong>in</strong>valid and<br />

unable to attend meet<strong>in</strong>gs, requested us to come to<br />
