Megaİzo AR Slate Mineral Coated, APP (Atactic Polypropylene) Modified Waterproofing Membrane With Plastometric Bitumen PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Decorative waterproofing membrane, reinforced with polyester seal carrier, the top surface of which is slate mineral coated and the bottom surface of which is polyethylene film coated. AREAS OF USE Megaİzo AR is suitable for the general waterproofing of roofs and terraces. CE APPLICATION PROCEDURE Surface Preparation • The application surface should be dry, clean, sound and dust-free, and should have been cleansed of oil, dirt or any materials that may prevent adhesion, and any such materials as mortar and cement residues should be scraped from the application surface. • The surface defects, which are deeper than 1 cm, should be repaired with MegaTamir İ or MegaTamir K 24 hours in advance. In the cases, where structural repair mortar should be used; MegaTamir İ Yapısal or MegaTamir K Yapısal should be preferred. • The molding oil residues on the concrete surface, if any, should be cleaned with high pressure water. The surface should, upon drying, be prepared for application with MegaFilm İzo. Application Methods • Edge and corner joints should be beveled with MegaTamir İ and MegaTamir K repair mortars in order for the maintenance of waterproofing. • The bottom surface of the cover should be molten with blowpipe flame, and should be adhered to make sure that the margin parts at joints overlap. • Margin parts should be allowed at the joint points by 10 cm on the width and by 15 cm on the length. • The minerals, which may have dropped on the margin parts, if any, should be cleaned. • The membrane tiers should be formed perpendicularly in the same direction as the slope at all layers, and tusk tenon should be applied between any two tiers to ensure that the joint points do not overlap to the furthest extent possible. • In the cases of longitudinal overlapping, the granules should be scraped thoroughly, be heated with blowpiper and be embedded into the membrane with a trowel. Application Recommendations • Due care must be taken to make sure that the membrane selected is suitable for the prevailing climate conditions and the physical characteristics of the building. • Due care must be taken to make sure that all parts are adhered upon the completion of the application. • In cold weather conditions, the membrane should be kept in a warm environment prior to the application, and applied at such temperatures higher than +5°C. • The product should not be applied on unsound surfaces. The soundness and the load-bearing capacity of old surfaces should be checked prior to adhesion. • The surface should be preserved from air currents and water contact during and after the application. • The product should not be applied to such surfaces, which are exposed to risk of freezing within the next 24 hours, which are frozen or the frost of which is thawing. • Due care should be given to prevent the exposure of the material to direct sunlight in hot weather conditions. • The product should not be applied on extremely windy weather conditions or on hot surfaces, which are exposed to direct sunlight; and in the cases, where application is imperative under such conditions, the environment and the surface should be prepared for application in advance. • The product should not be applied in rainy weather conditions, and the application surface should be preserved from rain for a period of 24 hours. • Refer to our technical support hotline for recommendation on different surface applications. PACKAGING Megaİzo AR is delivered in the form 1 meter wide and 10 meters long at total of 20 rolls on 100x120 cm sizes palette. STORAGE CONDITIONS The product should be stored within non-tampered original packaging in dry (maximum relative humidity 60 %) and cool (ambient temperature between +5°C and +25°C) environment in the form of rolls, stowed upright. It should not be exposed to direct sunlight. The product should be protected from UV lights and sudden changes in temperature. The product should not be stored in overlapping rolls. Megaİzo PU 7 Polyurethane Based, Ready To Use, Elastic Waterproofing Material 76 PRODUCT DESCRIPTION Polyurethane based, lasting, elastic and ready to use waterproofing material with high water vapor permeability, which can be applied prior to the top coating material. AREAS OF USE Megaİzo PU 7 is applied for waterproofing before the top coating material in such wet spaces as bathrooms, kitchens and balconies, in terraces, in such surfaces that are constantly in contact with water, concrete shear surfaces, on tops of parking garages, on such surfaces that are not exposed to direct sunlight. It is suitable for use on horizontal and vertical surfaces of indoors and outdoors spaces. In the cases, where structural repair mortar should be used; MegaTamir K Yapısal should be preferred. • Following the surface cleaning, MegaFilm İzo PU, in the case of absorbent surfaces, or MegaFilm İzo Epo, in the case of non-absorbent surfaces, should be applied in single coat in order to enhance adhesion strength and stabilize the surface absorption. Such surfaces coated with MegaFilm İzo PU primer should be let dry for 2 to 3 hours while those coated with MegaFilm İzo Epo should be let dry for 8 to 12 hours. Application Methods • Megaİzo PU 7, which should have been thoroughly stirred prior to the application, should be poured on the surface, which should have been applied with primer and should be maintaining its adhesive nature to a certain extent, and be spread to cover the entire surface with a roller or brush. • Megaİzo PU 7 should be applied in double coat on the surface. • The secondary coat should be applied 12 hours (maximum 36 hours) after the application of the primary coat. • Edge and corner joints should be beveled with Megaİzo PU Mastic in order for the maintenance of waterproofing. • In the cases, where beveling is not performed; Megaİzo Bant should be applied to such inadequately waterproof spots as edge and corner joint spots in order to ensure the maintenance of insulation. • Depending on the nature of the application surface; the secondary coat should be applied after the placement of waterproofing net on the primary coat. In the cases, where net reinforcement is necessary; the net shall be laid on the primary coat before it dries. Application Recommendations • The amount consumed and the thickness of application should be increased in the cases, where ceramic tile coating is applied on the insulation, and the surface, to which Megaİzo PU 7 is applied, should be sanded before it dries completely. • Due care must be taken to ensure that the insulation material is not damaged by mechanical impacts in the cases of coating over the insulation. • The product should not be applied against negative water pressure. • The product should be used before the expiration of its pot life. Any product, the pot life of which has expired, should not be used during the application. • Megaİzo PU 7 is a ready to use product. Any foreign material should not be added into the product during the application. • The product should not be applied on unsound surfaces.
