5R ENTRANCE EXPOSURE CALIBRATION<br />

Use this procedure to change the mA Limit File data within the generator software.<br />

Editing the mA Limit File<br />

1. With the system completely booted, insert the <strong>OEC</strong> service access disk in the<br />

Workstation. Then press SETUP OPTIONS.<br />

2. Select Access Level 2. Then select Access Mainframe Menu.<br />

3. Select E - mA Limit File Editor. The following menu appears.<br />

4. Select A. Fill with constant. Enter a value of 5.0. This allows you to temporarily<br />

exceed the 4.63 R/min limit to find the maximum mA allowed for several kV<br />

settings.<br />

5. Press ESC. Then press Y to save changes.<br />

6. Select A - Run Applications. Then press ESC twice to clear the right monitor.<br />

7. In increments of 5 kVp from 40 kVp to 120 kVp determine the mA needed to<br />

produce 4.63 R/minute. Use the worksheet on the following page and record the<br />

maximum mA values which allow the system to approach but not exceed 4.63<br />

R/min.
