ADJUST CAMERA DECENTRATION<br />

WARNING... Steps within this procedure produce X-rays. Use appropriate precautions.<br />

NOTE: The purpose of this procedure is to center the physical position of the<br />

Beam Alignment Tool in the II's output.<br />

1. Remove the converging line pair tool and install the beam alignment tool on the<br />

Image Intensifier as shown in Figure 14. Note the location of the X & Y adjustment<br />

screws. You will adjust these in the next few steps.<br />

2. Acquire the Monitor/Camera Alignment Pattern. This is done to remove circular<br />

blanking during an exposure so the full Image Intensifier image can be seen.<br />

NOTE: Ignore the electronic Monitor/Camera Alignment Pattern overlay during this<br />

decentration adjustment of the Beam Alignment Tool.<br />

3. Select MAG 2 and take an AUTO FLUORO exposure. Rotate the camera until the<br />

beam alignment pattern tick marks are at a 45° angle as shown in Figure 15.
