ANTI-VIGNETTING (SHADING) ADJUSTMENT<br />

This adjustment is to correct for shading differences that appear in the image.<br />

Procedure<br />

1. Verify the system is in the AUTO FLUORO mode with nothing in the beam path.<br />

2. Set the Workstation Window to 80 and Level to 125.<br />

3. While imaging, an unacceptable image similar to that shown in Figure 36 may<br />

appear. This image indicates vignetting (shading around the periphery of the<br />

image) and needs to be adjusted as described in step four. Otherwise, the image<br />

may appear "flat" with no bright spots indicating this parameter does not need<br />

adjustment (A slight overall brightness in the center of the image is acceptable). If<br />

this is the case, proceed to step 5 to complete the camera alignment process.<br />
