34. RELATED PARTIES Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust is a public interest body authorised by NHS Improvement. During the period, none of the Trust board members of members of the key management staff, or parties related to any of them, has undertaken any transactions with Alder Hey Children’s NHS Foundation Trust. The Department of Health and Social Care is regarded as a related party. During the period the Trust has had a significant number of transactions with the Department, and with other entities for which the Department is regarded as the parent Department. The transactions relate mainly to the provision of healthcare services and purchase of services in the ordinary course of business.
