five continents. The company employs<br />
more than 28,000 people and serves over 8,000<br />
clients, and as a member of Japan’s Nippon<br />
Telegraph and Telephone (NTT) Group, services<br />
70% of Fortune 100 and 60% of Fortune 500<br />
businesses. Dimension Data was established in the<br />
South African capital city, Johannesburg, in 1983.<br />
The company listed on the Johannesburg Stock<br />
Exchange four years later, with international<br />
expansion beginning in 1993 into the firm’s first<br />
international market, Botswana. In the following<br />
years the business reached the Asia Pacific region,<br />
followed by the northern hemisphere. At the turn<br />
of the century, Dimension Data listed on the<br />
London Stock Exchange, raising raised US$1.25bn.<br />
As the company continued to grow it won over<br />
100 client, vendor, and industry awards in 2015,<br />
